The Somoto Canyon was recently discovered in 2004. A year after its discovery, Somoto Canyon became a national protected reserve. Today you can explore the canyon on this guided tour where you can swim down the clear river, or cliff jump into the deep waters below. After you trek through the canyon enjoy a Nicaraguan Style Meal in the town of Somoto before returning to Managua.
